Description of the Stops

1. Cabo Girão

Our first stop takes us to the magnificent Cabo Girão viewpoint, standing at 580 metres high with a glass-floored balcony. It is the highest cliff in Europe and the second highest in the world, offering breathtaking views over Madeira's southern coastline.

2. Ribeira Brava

Travelling along the island's coast, we arrive at the village of Ribeira Brava, where you can visit a 15th-century church and explore the charm of this coastal town.

3. Madalena do Mar

We continue to Madalena do Mar, where we take a short walk through the lush green banana plantations, one of Madeira's key agricultural products.

4. Porto Moniz

We descend towards Porto Moniz, where we will have a lunch break and free time (1.5 to 2 hours). This coastal town is famous for its stunning natural volcanic swimming pools. If the weather allows, you can enjoy a swim, so be sure to bring your swimwear!

5. Seixal (Véu da Noiva)

On our way to Seixal, we pass by several waterfalls, including the famous Véu da Noiva (Bride's Veil Waterfall). As the water cascades down the mountainside, you can observe how wind and rain have sculpted the rock over millions of years, creating a breathtaking natural masterpiece.

6. São Vicente

Next, we visit the picturesque village of São Vicente, where you can explore a beautiful 17th-century church, a historical landmark of the region, before heading back to Funchal.

7. Câmara de Lobos

Our final stop is the iconic fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, located just 5 km from Funchal. This was a favourite painting spot of Winston Churchill, who captured its stunning landscapes in his artwork.
